Matt Hancock receives special hotel treatment on I'm A Celeb that's forbidden to other celebs

Matt Hancock is set to enter theI'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!jungle in a matter of days, but apparently he's already been receiving 'special treatment' in the run up to his arrival in camp.

As fans of theshowwill know, most celebs spend the days leading up to their entrance into the jungle in isolation, meaning they're unable to have contact with the outside world - unless there's an emergency of course.

However, according to the Mirror,Hancock- who is MP for West Suffolk - has been given access to a computer to respond to urgent work emails.

Apparently use of the laptop is monitored and he is not allowed to contact loved ones at home.

It comes asHancockhimself said that he would be able to respond to any 'urgent constituency matters'.

"As an MP, my first priority is to my constituents. I have agreed with the show's producers that I can be reached at any point on any urgent constituency matters," hewrotein The Sun.

However, an ITV spokespersontoldThe Mirror that contact with the outside world was not allowed unless there was an emergency.

"You are correct to say that celebs cannot speak to the outside world at all unless there are exceptional circumstances ie. an emergency," they said.

While it's not confirmed when Hancock will enter the jungle, joining other58必威外网 already in camp, it is thought he will make an entrance this week.

In fact, presenting duo Ant and Dec hinted at the politician's arrival during Sunday's opening episode.

"We've also got not one, but two late arrivals on the way. Fortunately, we've managed to keep their identities a complete secret. Nobody's got a clue who they are," said Ant.

Dec added: "You're gonna be so surprised guys. We'll be rolling out the welcome 'mat' for them very soon."

The two final contestants have always arrived around four episodes in, so if producers stick to this format, this means Hancock will likely arrive on 9 November - so there's not long to wait.

The formerhealthsecretary has been largely criticised for accepting the offer to take part in the show.

In fact, Hancock has had the Tory whip suspended, with theConservativechief whip, Simon Hart, saying he believed Hancock's involvement in the show was "serious enough to warrant suspension of the whip with immediate effect".
